Cool restaurants in Goes
In 2017 I came to live in the municipality of Goes as an imported Zeeland girl. The city of Goes has a population of about 28,000. It is a very attractive town in Zeeland. I’ve discovered quite a few places in Zeeland over the years, but I’m still very happy that I live in Goes as far as fun is concerned. In recent years I have discovered that both the people in Zeeland and the hospitality industry in Zeeland really do not lag behind the Randstad. The people in Zeeland are open, sincere, friendly and interested. Now about the restaurants in Goes. I’ve been a big fan of that for years. In the short time that I have been living in Zeeland, I have noticed that a lot of fun, new and trendy places have opened up. In this article I share my favorite restaurants in Goes.
The Brass
De Brass has been open for business since September 2019. Previously, restaurant Brasserie D’Anvers sat at this location. This restaurant in Goes has been taken over and has had a big makeover. The Brass has really changed compared to the previous restaurant in a positive way in terms of appearance and menu. They have a cool logo, a beautiful tent and delicious dishes on the menu. They also have special to-go dishes. We have already used it a number of times. Highly recommended: the homemade limoncello, the Brass board and the delicious boneless spare ribs!
Jardin
Jardin has not been around very long, but it is already the greenest bar in Zeeland. I think they are a great place for a healthy breakfast or lunch, a nice coffee or fresh juice and they have the best cakes! The owners are super friendly and always make a nice chat. We like to get a fresh juice or a yoghurt to go here.
Katoen
At Katoen you can eat and drink. On take away you can order delicious lunch and dinner dishes. You can also pick up a pie of the day and various drinks. Something delicious from Katoen is always a good idea as far as I’m concerned! They also have a very nice hotel. It’s great to get away for a night in Goes and relax. My favorites? I’m a fan of the homemade brownies and the delicious Verdejo. Cheers!
Kale & de Bril
Restaurant Kale & de Bril has been quick to set up the Kale & de Bril home menu since the corona crisis. How does this work? You give your order the number of courses and choose your dessert (such as a delicious cheese board or a sweet dish.) Then you pick it up in a box and you need only a few small actions at home to finish the dishes. Even the simplest home cook can put a starred meal on the table. They serve this home menu Tuesday through Saturday. Because of their popularity they are sometimes fully booked, so make sure you order in time. In any case we enjoyed an evening of extensive dining with the dishes of these gentlemen.
