The imposing play tower is visible from afar and invites to climb and clamber.

The bunkers of Groede

Atlantic Wall

The historic bunkers at Groede Stage tell the story of World War II (1939-1945). These imposing concrete structures were part of the Atlantic Wall, the German defensive line along the European coast. Once hidden under a thick layer of earth or hidden in the bushes, they are now an important part of the park.

Stützpunkt Groede

Stützpunkt Groede, now Groede Stage, was an important base for the German artillery unit. Here 250 soldiers worked daily on exercises, communications, security and support for surrounding units.
