Domburg: bustling and picturesque seaside resort

Small but nice! That’s Domburg. Everything you need can be found downtown. Like dozens of different restaurants (from a seafood bar to organic to Italian). Exactly what you can feel very much like after a day of lazing (or venturing out) on the beach. Eager to score a new outfit, souvenir or accessory? You can also do that in the shopping street where you can find all kinds of cute boutiques.

As Zeeland’s oldest seaside resort, the beach is number one as an activity. So the wide sandy beach, the colorful cottages and beach pavilions are well worth a visit. Moreover, there is something for everyone at the beach. Thus, children can play in the playground equipment while parents enjoy a refreshing drink at the pavilion. The sporty can (learn to) surf or get a breath of fresh air while walking through the dunes.

Furthermore, Domburg has a seasonal market on Mondays in the summer and you can store 7/7 on the main street. Finally, Domburg has a rich history among well-known artists. Jan Toorop and Piet Mondrian were also fascinated by Domburg’s coastal landscape and created several works. You can find these at the Marie Tak van Poortvliet Museum, tucked away on Main Street.

A visit to Domburg is fun in summer as well as in winter. With boutiques, fine restaurants, the beach and nearby nature reserves (such as the Manteling of Walcheren and Oranjezon), there is always something to do!
